Personal Injury, Nursing Home Abuse and Medical Malpractice Claim FAQs

Q: I think I have a case against a nursing home, doctor or hospital. What do I do?
A: You may contact our office via phone (813.226.1080); or by e-mail. You need to understand that e-mails are not necessarily confidential on the Internet. Please keep that in mind when disclosing information. When you contact our office, just tell us that you are calling regarding a new matter or situation, we will guide you from there. There is no obligation and the consultation is free.
Q: Do you charge for consultations?
A: No. Initial consultations are free of charge.
Q: What are your fees?
A: We work on a contingency fee basis. If we accept your case we only get paid if you recover money from the adverse party.
Q: Will I have to go to court?
A: It is impossible to know whether any case will go to trial. Our firm makes every effort to resolve cases without trial, however, we have a trial specialist who will handle your case if it cannot be settled.
Q: How long will the lawsuit take?
A: It is difficult to predict how long any case will take. The Florida Supreme Court has published guidelines for civil cases which establish a standard of not more than 18 months from filing of the lawsuit to completion. Unfortunately, these standards are often overlooked in complex cases.
